April 1st, 2016- Day 3,379
Visited a shinto shrine on the cultural tour that the base does for newcomers. We went on it a bit later than usual because it was cancelled for a couple weeks.
April 2nd, 2016- Day 3,380
Squid ink cakes.
April 3rd, 2016- Day 3,381
Worked on my Found In Books series today.
April 4th, 2016- Day 3,382
My April to-be read stack
April 6th, 2016- Day 3,383
So excited for this umeboshi paste (pickled plum paste). We had a hard time finding it in Universe because a) all the labels are in Japanese and b) we didn't know what aisle it would be on.
April 7th, 2016- Day 3,384
My stack of things that I've found in books keeps getting larger.
April 8th, 2016- Day 3,385
The wood filament for the 3d printer looks pretty good.
April 9th, 2016- Day 3,386
April 10th, 2016- Day 3,387
Hubsband has been doing projects all weekend.
April 11th, 2016- Day 3,388
Calpis Marshmallows are the best. Calpis soda is a yogurt flavored drink. These are basically marshmallows stuffed with a yogurt flavored jelly. So good.
April 12th, 2016- Day 3,390
Forgot to take a photo yesterday other than this. Internet shopping is tricky here because not everyone will ship to an APO.
April 13th, 2016- Day 3,391
Continued working on my Found in Books series. I'm going to have to buy some new books soon to see if I can find more to add to this.
April 14th, 2016- Day 3,392
3D printed sheep in clear before the supports have been removed.
April 15th, 2016- Day 3,393
Shelf of our small printed things. Some of which were failures but we still displayed them anyway.
April 16th, 2016- Day 3,394
Momoishi beach. We were supposed to go to a bonfire tonight but when we showed up early and it was already really cold we decided that maybe it wasn't the best idea.
April 17th, 2016- Day 3,395
Rainy Sunday afternoon activity. Look how small and cute and stuff
April 18th, 2016- Day 3,396
Cherry blossoms are starting to come out in our part of Japan. They've already come and gone in the southern parts of Japan.
April 19th, 2016- Day 3,397
Started an embroidery that I'm not sure exactly how its going to end up but I'm letting it just turn out the way it turns out.
April 20th, 2016- Day 3,398
my first ride in hubsband's new jimny. It's like someone put a lawn mower motor on a dryer. It's so small. It's pretty much the opposite of his studebaker. But this means that I now have my own car during the day while he's at work.
April 21st, 2016- Day 3,399
I printed off a bunch of these bookshelf markers for Hubsband's shelves. I would have made them for my shelves but my books aren't arranged alphabetically.
April 22nd, 2016- Day 3,400
April 23rd, 2016- Day 3,401
We went to the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival today but all the photos I took are on film so as are going to wait impatiently for those to get developed and sent back. But look at this view at the rest stop we stopped at on the way home.
April 24th, 2016- Day 3,402
Hubsband helped me with painting the hoop and I don't think I could be happier with how it turned out.
April 25th, 2016- Day 3, 403
camera mess from this weekend.
April 26th, 2016- Day 3,404
Not only have I kept a plant alive for a month and a half but it's sprouting new leaves. I am pretty proud of that because I usually kill plants pretty quickly.
April 27th, 2016- Day 3,405
Did a doodle of one of the tree cabins in Nanbu, Japan and it is now a work in progress embroidery. You can rent these cabins to camp in and I fully intend to drag hubsband out to do that once it gets warmer.
April 28th, 2016- Day 3,406
Got a new camera. The camera I was using still works but isn't technically mine as I slowly integrated it from my brother's belongings into my own (come to Japan and you can have it back along with my lenses). It was just heavy and ten years old and...heavy. So I made the leap into mirrorless mainly for the size. Also my new one shoots video. So there's that.
April 29th, 2016- Day 3,407
it was raining all day. And it was still raining during this pretty sunset.
April 30th, 2016- Day 3,408
I don't know how I feel about the way this turned out so I'm just going to let it sit for a bit.
