last night in tucson was dinner at Mama Louisa's with my brother to say goodbye and hand over the car keys and title to my car

Accidentally walked about 6 miles today in a waterfront park.  It was filled with people walking their dogs and the weather was ridiculously nice.

We stayed up all night because we had to be at the airport around 1:30am to wait in a very long line to get our tickets/seating assignment.  Then we sat in the airport because our plane didn't leave until about 7:30.  And then the rest of the day disappeared because time zones and 9 hour flights are ridiculous.

We got into Japan at 10:30am, got through customs, dropped our luggage off at the hotel, went and looked at 5 different apartments/houses and picked one out, got Japanese phone numbers, got some buildings pointed out to us, met a bunch of husband's coworkers whose names I did not retain and looked at the cars that are for sale in the lemon lot on base.  

Our hotel room is not large and we've had a lot to do so it's become a disaster area.

My body is not okay with everything I've put it through.  So now I have a cold and I still have to go to all the in processing seminars and stuff because it's required of me.

today we got the keys to our apartment and we bought a car.  I've been riding in the backseat the entire time we have been here and it is completely nerve wrecking to be in the passenger seat.

Today all our home goods got delivered.  Because of husband's great planning our stuff has been in Japan longer than we have.

They aren't on the shelves in order but the shelves have been secured to the walls and the books are out of the boxes.  Successful day.

I know my husband loves me because he brought me home green tea caramels even though he hates both green tea and caramel

I forgot to take any photos before I went to bed other than this one of some of the garbage bags filled with just the packing paper from unpacking all our boxes.

it was nice outside and I was bored so I went for a walk.  The view of the lake was nice even with a fence in the way.  It'll be easy to walk to the base's beach when it's open this summer.

Egg vending machine just off base. it's 200 yen for 8 eggs.

Trying to make my pants fit again so I made hubsband walk in the damp weather and this hill proved how out of shape I am.

Halfway through embroidering J's on all my handerkechiefs.

Finally got authentic Japanese Ramen.

My first time printing something on our new 3d printer.  it's a round bun.

The only photo I took today was this one that I texted to my husband to show him how sad this failed dinosaur print turned into a fat looking starfish because the printer decided to disconnect from the computer.

Printed a 120 film holder which I'm pretty excited about.

We went to shipwreck beach. It's about an hour away from the base and it's where a lot of stuff washes up onto the shore. Husband doubted my information about being able to just find glass floats washed up on it until we found two. One was broken so we just brought the good one home.

Did part of our Sunday walk on the base nature trail.  We even saw a Japanese Serow (not pictured) as he bounded away from us.

Started a jar of sea glass to go with my jar of dog squeakers and my jar of barnacles and fish bones from Salton sea.

Grant printed a stand for the glass float.  it's now painted black so it blends a bit better.

Grant got a glider in the Easter package from my mom.  So it lives here now.
